Happy Halloween

Now that all our cob webs and spiders (and bats, vultures, skulls, etc…) have been eradicated from the house; I’ve had a chance to upload our photos from Halloween.

The week before Halloween, we hosted our 4th Annual Halloween Costume Party. All the “faces” were new, but we had some old friends and some new friends join in the fun.

Ever since we made it mandatory that the adults dress up, the event has taken on a whole new level of exuberance.

I must say, it’s one of our easiest gatherings of the year, since the guests provide the entertainment. And they NEVER disappoint.

Here is a slide show for your viewing enjoyment (and yes, you will see that there were actually children present).

A week later, in preparation for the actual Halloween, the kids carved their pumpkins. Something you cannot do weeks in advance here due to the rapid decomposition in the warm weather.

And on Halloween night we had one Hockey Player (a very rare sighting here) and three members of the Star Wars cast: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, and the dark lord himself, Darth Vader; invade the neighbourhood.

It was a successful night.
